week DeviantArt.com started
beta testing a new technology that allows mobile phone users to download
just about any picture (including many on DeviantArt, by
yours truly) as a desktop wallpaper. I’ve been looking forward to
this for a long time, and I think its going to open up a whole new level of
exposure for artists.
If you think about
it, what we have here is a beautiful marriage of technology and art, which
will give people the ability to customize the electronics that have become
an integral part of their lives, in a very personal way.
